Great Montreal Highlights Tour

As Canada’s largest French city, Montreal has literally thousands of cultural attractions. From museums to art galleries, historic sites to beautiful architecture, Montreal has something for everyone. Discover some of Montreal’s secrets and the many facets of a city that proudly blends past, present, and future. On this bus tour of Montreal, your guide will provide information and insight into the city’s rich architectural and historical legacy and an overview of its main attractions, including: Old Montreal and the Old Port, the downtown area and underground city, leading museums and cultural centers, Olympic Park, Mount-Royal… to name but a few. A extended visit of Notre-Dame basilica and a few stops along the way will allow participants to admire the view and take a few shots of Montreal most emblematic points of interests. We also propose to have lunch at Les Enfants Terribles, Au sommet. A gourmet restaurant at the top of one of the highest skyscraper of Montreal offering a stunning view of the whole city. A visit of the adjacent exhibition will give your guests more information on the panoramic view in front of them. Fine Arts & Shopping Tour in Montreal

Spend a few hours absorbing some of the city’s culture, heritage and architecture on this guided tour of the Golden Square Mile area and its most prestigious museum: The Montreal museum of Fine Arts.

The Golden Square Mile was the nostalgic name given to a small neighbourhood developed between 1850 and 1930, at the foot of Mount Royal. From the 1930s, Montrealers began to refer to it as the "Square Mile", but the addition of 'Golden' was a comparatively modern twist added from the 1950s by Montreal's real estate world.

Participants will start the day by a visit of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts: founded in 1860, the MMFA features many important international exhibitions and is now Québec’s premier museum for the size of its collection. It houses
over 33,000 objects including painting, sculpture, prints, and photographs, collections of Ancient Cultures, European art, Canadian, Inuit and Amerindian art as well as contemporary and decorative pieces.

After a restorative lunch at the Bistro des Arts or equivalent restaurant of the Golden Square mile, Participants will reembark to head to Ste Catherine street, the ultimate stop for any serious shopper in visit in Montréal: Centre Eaton, Simons, The Bay, and all your favourite brands have storefronts in this bustling street

9:30 am – 12:00 pm: Quick walk around of Sherbrooke street and overview of the Golden Square Mile History followed by a visit of the Fine Arts museum

1:30 pm – 3:15 pm: Transfer to Ste Catherien Street and Shopping Session

Final Night Reception and Gala Dinner at Theatre St. James


Join us as we celebrate the end of another productive International Conference.  The Gala Reception and Dinner will be held in the spectacular Theatre St. James, which is located via a brief walk on the block behind Le Westin Hotel. The night will be filled with food, drinks and special entertainment to bring the heart of Montreal to you!  We always have surprises in store for you during this final farewell to our delegates and guests, so make sure you plan to join us for another fun filled event!

This site on which the St-James Theatre currently stands was occupied by the St. James Methodist Church from 1845-1888, and L’Édifice Temple from 1889-1890.  The site was then purchased and became the main Montreal branch and headquarters for the Canadian Bank of Commerce.  In 2012, the owners of the Rialto Theatre purchased this former bank and renamed it the St-James Theatre.  While staying true to the history of the building and highlighting its breathtaking architecture, the St-James Theatre is one of Montreal’s newest high-end venues for private events.

Approximately one hour drive from Montréal City Center, the tour will take you to 3 of the most reputated wineries of the region: Vignoble Le Cep d’Argent, Vignoble Chemin de la Rivière. Vignoble d’Orford where you will have the chance to taste many wines. Between each winery the guide will talk about the history and cuture of this region of Quebec renowned for its art de vivre. Frequent stops will invite the participants to takin fully the beauty and serenity of the place. A gourmet lunch stop will be held in one of the gourmet restaurants of the region offering fresh and local products.
