The Les Landes-based company DRT, specialized in plant based chemistry and the development of resin extracted from pine, has just received the prestigious Les Talents d’Objectif Aquitaine business award, attributed to successful businesses with roots in the Les Landes region of Southwest France. DRT’s extensive worldwide development was honored with this prize for "International Export”.

Successful international development

The Les Talents d’Objectif Aquitaine business is organized every year by Objectif Aquitaine, the first economic media of the region. This year, the prize for "International Export” went to DRT, a company based in the city of Dax undergoing a period of vast international development.

With purchasing offices in the US and in Brazil, one factory in China and three in India and a vast network of agents around the world, DRT is implementing an international strategy to grow closer to its markets and clients. Recently, DRT has decided to increase its distillation capacities and has announced the construction of a new paper resin distillation plant in the United States where the demand from the market is in constant growth.

Thanks to this global vision and to significant technological breakthrough and innovative plant-based innovations, DRT exports its know-how worldwide.

Rooted in Les Landes

DRT was established in 1932, in the heart of the Les Landes region of Southwest France. Proud of its regional heritage, DRT builds its foundations for development on values such as ethics, responsible development, respect for humans and for the environment.

DRT President Laurent Labatut adds: "This award symbolizes our loyalty to the Aquitaine region. We are honored to have been chosen among a short list of local businesses. The award comes as well-deserved compensation for our employees who are also very proud.  In addition, since the company is owned by families from the region, our shareholders are especially proud to receive this award.”
