Environmental,Health & Safety Excellence Awards

The EHS Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2014 EHS Excellence Awards.

All nominations are due by February 28, 2015, with the Awards being presented at the Spring Meeting on April 17th in Orlando, FL.

The purpose of the PCA awards program is to recognize and promote excellence in environmental, health, and safety among PCA Member companies. The program is designed to recognize both individual and facility efforts demonstrated to protect the environment, or prevent accidents and illnesses through hazard identification and control.

2015 Short Course on Soap & Turpentine Recovery and Tall Oil Processing- March 10 to 12, 2015

The Pine Chemicals Association (PCA), in partnership with TAPPI, is offering the Short Course on Soap & Turpentine Recovery and Tall Oil Processing on March 10-12 in Atlanta, GA.

This course is designed for operators, process engineers, pulp mill managers and recovery & technical superintendents engaged in pulp mill recovery operations to learn how improving the recovery of SOAP & CST, and processing CTO in a mill can improve evaporator and recovery furnace efficiency, reduce effluent BOD and improve overall mill operations.
